For anyone who looking for new inspirations to approach home renovation.
Break down the walls!
While some may love to design and decorate different rooms in the house separately, having an open floor plan for your home is just as great.
Especially for flats that are not very spacious, this method of removing walls could make everything seems a lot more airy and comfortable. After all, you do not have to open - and close - too many doors when living in the place. Imagine your kitchen 3 steps away from your living room, and 5 steps away from your bedroom. This could also motivate you to clean more often, always trying to keep things refreshed - so the smells and dirt from one area do not affect the others.
Make sure to take advantages of useful and multi-functional built-ins to separate the house into smaller spaces. Why would you need a wall and door to get out of the kitchen, when you already have a display shelves perfect at the spot anyway.
Bring nature indoors (there is no such thing as too many trees)
Have you gotten bored with the modern and futuristic look of your usual office? Is the city with its cold and dark digital technologies, high-rise buildings making you tired?
If this was how you feel, then there is no better option is to bring nature indoors! Every time you come home, you can enjoy the fresh air that these trees produce. The greeny space always gives you a calm sense of wonder and stress relief. And what is a better way to live by watering your indoor trees every day, seeing them blossom as your life continues to grow as well?
How about some Orange Gerbera, Christmas Cactus, Orchid flowers? Or maybe just some simple Snake Plants, perhaps Areca Palm trees. These are top trees that absorb CO2 at night as well! They would make perfect indoor plants and decorative items for your beautiful home as well.
How about concrete?
Being seen in many popular interior design themes, concrete walls with different finishes are for anyone who thinks outside of the box and wants a creative space. This is being applied in almost all industrial homes out there. Concrete is actually a timeless look! (because when the apocalypse comes, concrete will, well, still be concrete).
Popular colors for concrete are not only black, white, and grey. Some of the other less common choices are blue, brown, and sometimes a mix of everything to create abstract art on these walls as well!
But do not think concrete can not look fresh like the “bring nature indoor” concept. Applying bright and unusual concrete walls and features into Retro or Eclectic homes could actually be fantastic. Ultimately, it is a dark horse that can solve any interior designers who run into a corner with finding new ideas.
