2. What is residential renovation?

Renovating, also called remodeling, is a process of restoring (something old, broken, damaged, or outmoded structure, especially a building) to a good state of repair, or to make new again. To renovate a house or building means to resurrect that structure from a state of disrepair.

In home construction, this includes re-painting, re-facing cabinets, installing new light fixtures, or adding other finishes and fixtures, etc. Technically, it’s to change the character of a house or a portion of a house.

Or you may be relocating to a new location and you need help with some ideas and suggestions for the design of your new home.

If you’re planning on remodeling or renovating your house or mapping an interior furniture design, it is important to consult an experienced renovation contractor or architect before you begin your project AND make sure you research first to ensure that your project gets done right the first time around!

4. I have some general remodeling ideas; can you help me establish which ideas will work best for my situation?

Yes. You can also go to the contact us page and email us with information that you would like to have completed or drop us a call. When our team member meets with you, they will discuss all of the options that might be available, and help to guide you for what will work best for your situation.

We also have a Computer Aided Drafting/Design (CAD) program that can help you and us to visualize the scope of the project.

5. Do you offer obligation-free quotes?
Yes. the REQUEST TO QUOTE is FREE and convenient. We have several estimators that are located in many areas around Singapore. Our estimators will call to discuss your needs and schedule a time for an appointment, which is convenient with your schedule. Drop us a request or a call to schedule a design/quote consultation.
6. Timeline is crucial for my project, can you put my project in top priority?

All the time, we will meet the timeline as we started off doing any residential or commercial projects where timeline is mostly critical.

If all information we need is adequate (authorities' approval, design confirmation, material availability, prompt payment) and the requested timeline is reasonable, we do not see why there should be any delay.

7. Should I make an appointment to visit your workshop/office/show unit?
Yes, an appointment is preferred. The reason is because our coordinators are frequently out at project sites to make sure projects are running smoothly. To make sure someone is around to attend to you, please let us know that you are coming to avoid disappointment.
8. Can I request for 3D photorealistic renders?
Yes, we can provide 3D photorealistic renders for a fee.
9. Why is Wonder Design and Construction not the cheapest?
Wonder Design and Construction offers direct workshop rates at price points where we are confident that the quality is decent and the service lovable. A workshop can always offer lower rates by cutting corners and scrimping on materials but we will not to go down that route.
10. Who will manage my project? Will they be available to answer my questions? Will they be on the job site regularly?
We assign a Project Manager to every project we work on to ensure it is properly managed. The Project Manager is a Wonder Design And Construction employee who is responsible for every phase of your remodeling project once the Remodeling Consultant has completed the design, layout and has ordered your materials. Our Project Managers personally know and meet with all the trades’ people who will be working in your home. He or she manages and constantly inspects all work done by our trades’ people during construction. The Project Manager is either present everyday for part of the day while the project is ongoing or is in contact with the trades’ people everyday to insure the project is running smoothly. The Project Manager is available to you by phone and email at all times.
11. We are not comfortable with our assigned coordinator. Can we request for a change?
Yes. We understand that sometimes the assigned coordinator attending to you may not be the right fit. Just let us know and we will arrange another person to attend to your enquiry.
12. I need to stay within a budget for my project. Can MyHome work within that budget and help me maintain it?

It depends upon what your budget is. We already had some available pre-designed packages along with pre-estimated budgets, but you can always drop us a call to have more accurate information according to your needs. During your Free Design Consultation the Remodeling Consultant should be able to tell you if we can work within your budget, and whether your budgetary expectations are reasonable or not. Once we set your budget and prepare a labor proposal, WE KEEP TO THE PRICE WE QUOTE YOU. And, because our team is knowledgeable about the products you need, we’ll be able to show you materials that should keep you within your budget. Be confident to contact us and discuss about this.

13. Will my contact information be protected?
Yes, we only furnish your contact information to Partner Carpentry work companies for the purpose of responding to your request to quote. Your contact information will NOT be used for any other purpose.
14. How can I prepare my home for the project?
It will depend upon the scope of work. You will be instructed by your Remodeling Consultant as to what exact steps you need to take. But, generally speaking, you’ll want to clear out the area being worked on of all your personal belongings that can be removed. Although, we cover the areas surrounding our work area, you’ll want to protect your furniture from dust with plastic and/or sheets.
15. Can I leave my belongings in my home during the renovation?
Yes, but we recommend that you remove everything possible – especially your most important possessions. Although we take extreme precautions to protect your belongings, dust flies everywhere during construction. And, much of it is microscopic so no matter what we (or you) do to protect them, your belongings will get dust particles on and in them.
16. What measures will be taken to protect my home from dust and debris that result from construction?
We cover floors with either rosin paper or Masonite, depending on the circumstances and we block off the areas surrounding the construction area with heavy gauge plastic sheets. We also cover furniture in the surrounding area to protect it as much as possible.
17. Do you provide clean-up and debris removal upon completion of a remodeling job?
Yes. We make special efforts to minimize our foot print both during and after completing our remodeling work, so you can better enjoy the remodeling process and its rewards.
18. How can I be sure that Wonder Design and Construction will complete the project as it was agreed upon while keeping the standard of quality high?
You will have a project contractor who is there to answer any questions or concerns as the project progresses. Their job is to inform you and react to any reasonable request during the project. Many customers who don’t have this open communication with the contractor feel uncomfortable and sometimes feel they are not getting the value as a result.
19. Will I be able to request or change things during the project?
Yes, if the modifications fit within the scope of the project, a modified quotation is created and when the customer and Wonder Design and Construction, the project can easily move that direction.
20. What is the warranty period for your material and workmanship?

1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects and workmanship for commercial projects.

We will protect all our clients with *1-year insurance against renovation defects for full turnkey projects
